Hey Discobelle readers – one last time from rick re:action. This is my 3rd of 3 weeks attending to the mail and it’s definitely been a blast. It was an honor to take on this task and I’d surely take it on in the future if asked. I hope you’ve enjoyed the tracks and mixes I’ve picked out from the massive amounts of mail coming through.

First up, a hyped up beast of a track from Syntonics:

Fredski is your man in Copenhagen when it comes to throwing the best parties + he dj’s pretty much all over the place. On top of that, in collaboration with Tomboy, he produces some of the most exquisite techno music we’ve heard recently. They’re known as Tomski*Fredboy and also just started up their own label, Tartelet Records. Here’s a mix they did for Panorama Bar in Berlin (check them out on June 29th) and it perfectly showcases their excellent style.

You’re all probably already aware of the fact that we here at Discobelle are big fans of Sally Shapiro. She just released two albums with remixes of her songs, entitled “Remix Romance vol. 1 and 2″. Paper Bag Records were kind enough to give us this Junior Boys remix of “Jackie Jackie”. A perfect match which sees the canadians providing Sallys scandinavian italodisco with some sharp yet melancholic beats.

PS. Thanks to all the good people in Luleå for dancing so much last night and a big thanks to Thomas & Max for being excellent hosts.

L.A party/feel good throwback hip-hop group Time Machine recently bursted on to the scene with their track “The Groove That Just Won’t Stop” and they’re gearing up for the June release of their album “Life Is Expensive”. The b-side track “Something We’re Becoming” (features Maggie Horn) comes backed up by remixes galore from some hot hot producers such as Discobelle faves Scottie B and Krames. We got our mitts on the Dave Nada remix and just as the tracks on his recent EP for T&A Records, this remix pops off and is ready for the club.
