Holy Ghost! has been one of my favorites duo/bands since high school, and Eli Escobar was equally a figure in my life, even though they don’t really know it. “Crime Cutz” has been such a strong release and its fantastic to see Eli Escobar jump on this.

So… I know we had the premiere of Kim Anh’s “Shadows” remix by Roy Davis Jr., but my love for Eli Escobar holds no bounds, and this remix he did for the amazing LA artist was too good not to share. The esteemed NY DJ brings back old school vibes to a modern track and takes us back to disco’s glory days with powerful vocals and a whole lotta attitude.

This track is fun and not to be taken seriously.

Eli Escobar is gearing up for the digital release of his album Up All Night, which until now has only been available on vinyl. Coming out June 2nd on Night People NYC, this re-release features remastered work and three bonus tracks and is just what we needed for the upcoming summer months.

Until then you can take a listen to the groove driven “Seein’ U,” it’s filled with disco basslines and soulful vocals. It’s so good it might tide you over until the full release is available later this summer.
